Profile Management

Create separate budgets and accounts. Each profile has its own transactions, settings, and budget. You can create parent profiles (e.g., "Household") and sub-profiles (e.g., "Bank 1", "Child Account") within them.

Current Profile

Select the active profile. All transactions and settings are separate per profile. The profile name will appear in the app header.

Create New Profile

Create a parent profile (e.g., "Household", "Personal"). You can then add sub-profiles to organize accounts, banks, or family members within each parent profile.

Keep profiles aligned with your global categories or assign a custom list using the manager below.

Cloud Sync Configuration

Cloud Sync Overview: Cloud synchronization allows you to access your budget data from multiple devices, keep your data backed up securely, and share your budget with family members or partners. Your data is stored anonymously and encrypted using a secure share key that only you control.

How it works: When enabled, your budget data (transactions, settings, profiles) is automatically saved to secure cloud storage. You can access this data from any device by entering the same share key. The share key acts as both your identifier and encryption key. Keep it secure and share it only with people you trust.

Privacy: All data is stored anonymously. We cannot identify you or link your data to personal information. Your share key is the only way to access your data, and you can delete everything at any time from Settings.

Enable Cloud Sync

Turn on cloud synchronization to access your budget from multiple devices and keep your data backed up.

Sync Actions

Manually sync your data or test your sync configuration. Use "Import from Another Share" to merge data from a different sync key without losing existing transactions.

Data Management

Storage used: Local cache

Reset the active profile quickly or open advanced tools to migrate data between profiles. These actions only affect data stored on this device.

These operations are permanent. Export a backup first if you might need this data again.

Share with others

Generate a QR code to share your settings, or scan someone else's QR code to import their settings.

Payment Links

Local Storage Only

Payment links contain personal banking information and are stored locally only. They will not sync to the cloud and may be lost if you clear browser data or switch devices.

Configure payment request links for services like Monzo, PayPal, Revolut, etc. Use placeholders: {amount} for the amount and {reference} for the payment reference.

AI Provider

Processing Defaults

When enabled, the Receipt Details block starts closed in the Add Entry dialog after scanning a receipt.

Automatically normalize receipt names on import

When enabled, receipt product names will be automatically converted to friendly names after OCR extraction. Better to run in batches initially.

Receipt Name Normalization

Update poorly named receipt items to friendly, readable product names.

This will iterate through all receipts and update cryptic product names to friendly names. Items already normalized will be skipped.

Weekly pattern insight prompt

Used to frame the AI-style summary shown on Weekly Pattern heatmaps. Keep it short and action-oriented.

When enabled, daily/period guidance appears on days when you're over budget

Hide header on scroll

When enabled, the app header will automatically hide when scrolling down and show a toggle button

When enabled, the calendar appears in a separate tab instead of at the bottom of each overview tab

Drag chips to reorder tabs. Calendar tab will appear if enabled above.

Multi-Currency & Holidays

Set up holiday periods with different currencies. Track spending in both your home currency and the destination currency.

Add Holiday Period

Create a holiday period to track spending in a different currency while traveling. Transactions entered during the holiday period will be converted to your home currency using the exchange rate you specify.

Help improve Budjeezie by automatically sending error reports to our servers. All errors are sent anonymously and include technical details to help us fix issues. You can disable this at any time.

Privacy & AI Use

Budjeezie is a privacy-first budgeting app. We do not collect personal details or store any information that can identify you. Your budgeting data, categories, amounts, receipts, and settings are all stored anonymously.

AI features may analyse your budgeting data to provide insights and predictions. When AI processing happens on our servers, all data sent is anonymous and cannot be linked to you.

Error Reporting: If enabled, error reports are automatically sent to help us improve the app. These reports contain technical information about errors and are completely anonymous. You can disable error reporting at any time in Settings.

We do not sell data, use advertising trackers, or share your information with third parties. You can delete all stored data at any time from Settings.
